Glamping Proposal With Live Music

Thank God for the fine weather today after the weekend downpours!

About two months ago, we received an email from Nimalan, a South African living in Australia, asking us to plan his proposal. As an expat, he often travels between Singapore and Australia for work. He wanted to bring his girlfriend, Kynatt, to Singapore for the first time and propose in this green city!

After browsing through the photo album, we had them appear with a paper flower bouquet (since Nimalan is allergic to pollen) and a 3D Up house ring box — all specially handcrafted by Peili from @8_dec!

We chose the largest beach in Singapore, surrounded by greenery and a sea view, as the perfect setting for this significant moment.

To keep the surprise, we told Kynatt that Nimalan’s company was offering complimentary picnic photoshoots for staff to spend time with their loved ones.

We rented a tent from @glampingcity and styled it with an outdoor picnic lounge, complete with snacks and tea, so they could relax and enjoy some romantic time together while the camera captured every moment.

In line with the Up movie theme that Nimalan requested, Peili from @8_dec decorated the tent interior with vintage furniture, briefcases, little details, and even the signature coin savings jar!

To elevate the experience, we arranged live music entertainment from GC Live Music featuring David Tan & Khim Ng, who serenaded the couple with acoustic songs during the picnic.

They performed The Book of Love by Peter Gabriel as the couple browsed through a handmade photo album, just like in the movie.

The album was filled with love — pictures, captions, and heartfelt notes.

How could any woman not be moved by that?

Her eyes welled up with tears as she read the little messages and notes inside.

The surprise reached new heights when Nimalan’s mother and sister appeared, having flown all the way from South Africa to witness this special moment!
